Forgotten small villages with wooden churches somewhere deep in the forest. Tasty berries near pure rivers and springs. An endless sea of birch trees. Lakes full of fish. Monasteries on islands used to punish rebellious monks next to GULAG camps. Bears, elk, wolves, trout, waterfalls and the northern lights. All that and much more is to be found in Karelia, a republic northeast of St. Petersburg. A summer destination, but also very nice in winter.
We don’t have Karelia yet in our program but it is one of the first destinations we want to develop. Keep visiting our website - soon we will have some spectacular tours to Karelia!
